[comp.sys.intergraph] gcc on intergraph

winckler@sun1.ruf.uni-freiburg.de (Joerg Winckler) (04/15/91)

Hi,

Does anyone know anything about an installation of the
gcc Gnu C compiler on intergraph workstations ?

Thanks for hints,

I haven't heard of someone putting gcc onto Intergraph. The Clipper
processor may have been one of the first RISC machines, but it certainly
isn't the world's most popular.

The rumors I hear are the Intergraph is going to replace their old,
quirky, Green Hills compiler with a new one with this spring's
release.

Also, a little know fact about Intergraph systems is that you do get
something of a C compiler for free. pcc is part of the UNIXBOOT product,
as I understand it.
