[soc.religion.christian] "Gay Christians"

wordproc@uunet.uu.net (Dolores-Marcus-Susan) (05/27/89)

Of course if I don't agree with what my church teaches then there will be a
serious problem with my remaining a member.

If my church "changes" and decides to begin promoting Communistic ideals,
my membership days will be numbered.

Accordingly, if my church espouses homosexuality as being acceptable in God's
eyes, I will no longer support that church.

I am no judge of anyone and understand that God loves us all, no matter what
we've done, who we are or where we've been. But part of being saved and
becoming a Christian is that the Holy Spirit will bring about a change within
you giving you the strength to resist sin wherever it comes upon you.

Not to change a sinful lifestyle means that salvation probably never took
place; the conviction that comes upon every man (or woman) that he is a sinner
and needs forgiveness and must change his ways obviously has not taken place.
