TEXT: Genesis 3:16

Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and
thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy
desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee.

One area of controversy concerning the relationship between a husband and
wife is caused by this verse, especially the last phrase.

I am interested in any comments concerning the following information:

In my Hebrew studies I have found the word translated in most translations
as "over" to actually mean "with"; which would render that phrase "and he
shall rule WITH thee".

The preposition is "bet" which can mean "with, in, or next to", but never
"over".

This would substantiate much of what Marge was expressing.
