[soc.religion.christian] Holy Spirit an "it"

Micheal Seimons comments on the Greek at Mark6:7, and Eph 2:2:

Thank you Mike for your detailed comments on the Greek. After
reading your post, I went home to check the grammer books. I
must conclude that you are correct. In my haste to make a point
I was looking at the suffix for genative adjectives when I should
have been looking at nouns. Of course the definate articles were
not much help since in one case they could have been M or N, and
in the other case M,F, & N.

So, with some egg on my face, I must back off from my original
thesis. I should add that it was mine & mine alone. I thank
you for pointing it out. The important thing is not to 'win'
a discussion, but rather to get to the truth. The good thing about
the net is that, even though there is a lot of misinformation flying
around, somebody generally ferrets out the truth. I still contend
that the holy spirit is an 'it', and not a 'he', but, alas, I must
conclude that this can neither be proved nor disproved from the
Greek.
