For you who have never heard of us Plymouth Brethren, We are autonymous
groups of christians that gather in the Lord's name based on New Testament
principles as closely as possible. Central to our gathering is the
celebration of worship around the Breaking of Bread (Communion) with all
members of the local body of Christ able to take part in worship as the
Spirit leads. Most would consider us fundamentalists. We carry our bibles
to church (Sola Scriptura!), and the preaching is usually expository.

Brethren are not all the same, being autonymous. Some have pastors
(usually referred to as "full-time-workers") while others rely on all men
to take part in preaching at one time or another, and those found to be
gifted in preaching are encouraged to minister more often.

The most striking difference to an outsider may be the stress on the role of
women in the church (See 1 Cor 11) as silent and covered during a meeting of
the church.

Email to me if your interested in knowing more.
