	For by grace you have been saved through faith;
	and that not of yourselves,
	it is the gift of God;

	Ephesians 2:8

[This is a response to a question about whether people can be saved
who have not heard of Christ.  In response to a previous posting,
I commented that Christians hold a variety of views on this subject.
I mentioned specifically the Catholic idea of "anonymous Christians",
who have responded to Christ in their hearts even though they don't
know him by name.  But I said

I doubt that many Protestants are very suspicious... :)

Romans 2:14> for when Gentiles who do not have the Law do instinctively the
