On the subject of celibacy... I am a non-sectarian, charismatic, evangelical follower of Christ Jesus. I think (ie from scripture and the Spirit in me) that celibacy should be the default of all CHRISTians. What do I mean by that? It means dating to find out if you want to get married is a poor compromise with the ways of this fallen country and world. I believe that we should assume to be single until we die and let God show us who we will marry (if we get married). What else does it mean? If you don't want children I doubt God is calling you to get married and therefore to date either, unless God is trying to change your mind about children? :-) I will qualify this with the fact that I assume that plenty of people will be called into marriage.
