Some specifications on the DELUA-M, the DELNI replacement from DEC .
Physical Specs:
Single Hex module with distribution panel kit.DMR-11 type distrib panel
Power - 8.0 Amps @ 5.0VDC
1.0 Amps @ 1.0VDC (used only for transceiver power)
Load - 1 UNIBUS DC load
4 UNIBUS AC load
Hardware Specs:
MPU based design (unknown which DEC mpu, J11?? maybe)
80 kb RAM for buffers (Hooray!)
Onboard DMA Controller. DMA controller can see host memory.
Multiple address filtration capability :
Promiscuous mode
All Multicast AND one physical address
Up to 10 Multicast AND one physical AND broadcast
One physical AND Broadcast
Same microdiagnostics capability as DEUNA
Same remote boot , etc, as DEUNA
Able to monitor transceiver's self test signal (with H4000 xcvrs)
Notes:
The specs say that multiple DELUA-M's may be operated in one host, but
that DECnet requires each DELUA to be connected to a seperate net.
Programming interface is almost compatible with DEUNA code. AS far as
DEC will go is to say that, if you use their device drivers, you will
have no problems , yet if you have you own drivers, they will require
some modifications. No, I don't know exactly which modifications yet .
