JESUS IS LORD! I'm new to net-news and just read a posting concerning: 1) christians stand firm/passive 2) non-christians 3) attitude of "judging" One was taking a stand for "christian" beliefs but unfortunately the other party felt as if they were being "judged" that is why "usually" it works out better if we quote scripture rather than just try to "talk" or JUST give our testimony because the Bible says "The law of the Lord is perfect, converting the soul: ...." (Psalms 19:7) It's the WORD that will win souls because it is the "TRUTH" !!!!!!!!!! I felt like he had thrown up a defensive wall and was really not hearing Anyway .... I get accused of the same thing when all I have done is quote scripture! Jesus is the "only-way"! In John 3:3-8 Jesus said himself that "...ye must be born again of the water and the Spirit..." So what I'm trying to say is so many people today call themselves "christians" when they have not even experienced really being "born again". They say they love Jesus yet don't even know the books of the Bible much less obey all of the scriptures or watch tv (hellavision) more than they pray. What I would like to ask but know I would be called "judging" to all that are on the net-news: 1) Have you received the Holy Ghost since you believed? (Acts 19:1-6) 2) How where you baptized? (Acts 2:38, Mark 16:16, Luke 24:45-47 Acts 22:16 Acts 8:16,10:48,4:12, Colossians 3:17, I Peter 3:20,21) to name a few.... 3) Do you believe that there is no private interpretation of the scriptures? (II Peter 1:20) 4) Do you believe that you should let the scriptures interpret scripture? (Isaiah 28:9,10 Matt 18:16) 5) What did Jesus say about being Born Again? 6) What did Peter teach about baptism? Let's not ask whether we should stand or kneel to pray but just "PRAY" That is not a life/death or heaven/hell issue but what "tradition" has taught us over the years compared to what JESUS says in HIS WORD is what we all need to investigate ...... What is TRUE SALVATION????????????????? Don't trust me or your Pastor but look it up yourself you can TRUST THE WORD! I hope you realize my intent was to encourage you.... the Bible says we are obligated to reach out, pray, have a burden for the lost but ....... So many think they are saved because they are basically "good" people, that our "loving" God will accept all in the end.... Jesus said "...ye can not serve two masters...." Any way , Preach the "word" and don't be weary in well doing! Yes, I was baptized in the name of Jesus for the remittance of my sins! Yes, I was baptized in the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking in tongues! and Yes to the best of my ability thru the guidance of the Holy Ghost, Bible study, prayer, fasting, and just old fashioned "faith" I shall endure to the end and be a servant to my God, Lord and (even) Savior Jesus Christ whom I owe all and give all worship to! God wrapped Himself (John 1:1,14 4:24) in flesh and died for me (and All) and He alone is our Savior (Isaiah 43:10,11,15 44:8, 45:21-23 Matt 1:21) His name is JESUS!!!!!!!! Praise God!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! send your testimony.... share scripture ......... Thanks and God lead us all unto all TRUTH! Not the opinion of my earthly employer but of my Heavenly!
