Greetings! A few weeks ago, I posted a request for prayers on SRC. I have had a cancer tumour and everything pointed to that I would survive, but that I would need more surgery and chrmotherapy. The response was overwhelming. Some 15-20 people emailed me and said they would pray for me. Now I want to thank all of you for your prayers and concern. It is wonderful to know that so much love and support is given, in a situation like that. I just came back from hospital today, having undergone a big x-ray examination &c. They found nothing! No spreading cancer, no enlarged lymf glands, nor anything else that indicated a need for further treatment. I will be under surveillance for some time, so this is not a 100% "clear", but it feels like a big relief. Chances are nothing more will happen. I will not take up room here with a lengthy account of how it feels to hear the dread words "You have cancer" and all the thoughts that come during the time of uncertainty that follows. Suffice it to say that this made me realize some things that were not whole and right in my relationship to Christ, and some things I need to do. The Lord works in mysterious ways.
