The eye cannot say to the hand, I have no need of thee. I Corinthians 12.21. In our early days in Anaheim I confess I was always trying to force up the level of the meetings, especially the prayer meetings, to a certain high standard. Consequently I was very dissatisfied with the way some of the brothers prayed. I felt quite bad about it, and said so. How wrong I was! For, some time later, the Lord laid me aside and I was in real physical need. I prayed hard, but my strong fighting prayers seemed to get me nowhere. At length the Lord seemed to say to me, "You think certain of the brothers are very weak in prayer. Invite them to come and pray for you in your need." It was a challenge, I sent for those very same brothers, and they came, knelt down, and prayed. For the first time in my life I appreciated their simple, straigthforward petitions. What is more, the Lord heard them. I was raised up! ----- Robert W.
