[soc.religion.christian] Does God remember our sins?

elev66@castle.ed.ac.uk (G Gaston) (10/29/90)

Hi,

I'm new to the group so apologies if this is not the sort of thing that
is discussed here.

It says in the Psalms (I can't remember which one) that God has removed
our sins from us as far as the east is from the west. It also says in
the New Testament that we all must appear before the judgement seat and
give an account of all the things done in the body, both good and bad.
Why do we then have to give an account for the sins which we have asked
God to forgive us for, as He can't even remember what they are?

Regards
Godfrey
