[soc.religion.christian] Words to a Christmas Song

dpc8v@plaid.cs.Virginia.EDU (Douglas P. Coppage) (11/09/90)

A request from one who is not a regular reader of this group:

   If you know or have access to the words to the song "Once in Royal
David's City" I would very much appreciate your e-mailing them to me.
Also, any information about the history of this carol is welcome. If
you're wondering, it starts out:

	Once in royal David's city
		Stood a lowly cattle shed
	Where a mother laid her baby
		In a manger for a bed.
	Mary was that mother mild;
		Jesus Christ her little child.

	He came down to earth from heaven ... [That's all I know.]

Remember, please E-MAIL to respond; I do not read this newsgroup.

Thank you veerrrrry much,

Doug Coppage  (dpc8v@virginia.edu)
