Blessed are they that wash their robes, that they mah have the right to come to the tree of life. Revelation 22.14. It was not by committing murder that Adam let sin into the world. That came later. Adam let in sin by his free choice between these two trees: the one whose name is Life, and the one that offered him the independent power to decide for himself on moral issues. By a deliberate act he turned to the latter, choosing to have his soul developed to a place where he could go on alone apart from God. When therefore God secures for His glory a race of men who will be the instrument to accomplish His purpose in the universe, they will be a people whose life--yea, whose very breath--is dependent upon Him. He will be the "tree of life" to them. ----- Robert W.
