This is a prayer given recently (June 22, 1985) at Medjugorje. Many people travel there to be healed. Many are, many are not. For myself, the prayer helps answer the question why some are healed and some not. Also, the question is it the Lord's will to simply heal everyone. Reference: "Words from Heaven, Messages of Our Lady from Medjugorje". Published 1990 by Saint James Publishing, P.O. Box 380244, Birmingham, Alabama 35238-0244 This is quite an extraordinary book, containing much if not all of the verbatim quoted messages and conversations from Mary at Medjugorje from the first appearance of June 24, 1981 to January 25, 1990. (The apparitions and messages are still happening as of now.) ---------------------------------------- PRAYER FOR A SICK PERSON O my God, behold this sick person before You. He has come to ask You what he wishes and what he considers as the most important thing for him. You, Oh my God, make these words enter into his heart: "What is important, is the health of the soul." Lord, may Your will in everything take place in his regard, if You want him to be cured, let health be given to him; but if Your will is something else, let him continue to bear his cross. I also pray to You for us, who intercede for him; purify our hearts, to make us worthy to convey Your holy Mercy. Protect him and relieve his pain, that Your holy will be done in him, that Your holy name be revealed through him. Help him to bear his cross with courage. Glory be to the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be.
