[soc.religion.christian] Once saved always?

drakenk@infonode.ingr.com (Keith Drake) (01/07/91)

It was my understanding from Revelations and through the gospels that you
can fall from grace. Jesus in Revelations said that there were be names
blotted out of the book of life because they had turned from their first love.
One of the churches was removed for their lukewarmness. Dog returning to its
vomit.
Jesus said that there would be many who said lord, lord look at the things
we did in your name, and he replied depart from me I KNOW YOU NOT.
The once saved always saved if believed as worded is a little off base.
It seems to me(the way I believe)if someone is really and sincerly trying
then it is right to say once saved always saved. But for those that fall out
or belived enough to try to get some fire insurance and then went their merry
way is going to be in for a BIG shock.

All opinions expressed by me are mine.
