   DOUG,

 It occured to me after my last post that if you want a good reading source
 for the historic evidence of Jesus, look to the books of JOSH McDOWELL.

 In particular, "Evidence that demands a verdict" is a good place to start.
 There is a chapter called "Jesus a man of history" that addresses your
 question. I think he also has an indepth book called "The historical Jesus."


 These are great sources for supporting Jesus as a historical person and
 showing he was/is no myth.
