I just would like to ask from christian readers what is the biblical definition of adultery. My own understanding about it is that, it is sex outside marriage. If this is correct, then one can remedy the situation by marriage. You just marry every woman you have sexed with. However, this would lead you to being polygamous which I also don't know whether the bible condones. I just remember a Muslim politician back home who was asked the following: Question: "Why are you Muslims having up to 4 wives?" His outright reply: Politician: "We are just doing legally, what the christians are doing illegally." Any idea on the subject? -- Rey V. A married man having intercourse with an unmarried woman is not adultery, though it is frowned upon. (In the NT Jesus extends the definition somewhat. Aside from the issue of looking on someone with lust, there seem to be implications that adultery can be committed against either a man or a woman.) It's an interesting idea to try to remedy adultery by marriage. The existing husband might not consider this an acceptable solution, and of course by NT times polygamy seems not to be allowed. --clh]
