[soc.religion.christian] Isaiah 13, Jeremiah 49

He fought hard and played his best game to date, but Isaiah never had a chance.
Going up against the undefeated Jeremiah in the fifth round of the NCAA (New
Christian Athletic Ass'n) All-Prophets One-On-One Basketball Tournament, Isaiah
made the first score, a foul shot when Jeremiah clipped his arm; but Jeremiah
had a 12-4 lead by the end of the first quarter, and it was downhill from there.

This is Isaiah's second defeat in this double-elimination tournament. After
defeating Malachi 84-6, and Jonas 44-42 in sudden death overtime, Isaiah
narrowly lost to Daniel, 24-26, in the third round. He came back with a
brilliant 54-42 over Ezekiel in the fourth round, but after last night's game,
he's out for the season.

In the sixth round, Jeremiah will face the NCAA favorite, Elias, also undefeated
after victories against Nehemiah, Malachi, Elisha, Daniel, and Jonas. This is
expected to be a tough game, and probably the preview of the finals, but the
oddsmakers are saying that Jeremiah will lament this game.
