[soc.religion.christian] About sinning and not being Christian

jonas@convex.csd.uwm.edu (Jonas K Manske) (03/19/91)

The Bible does not say that if we sin we are not Christians. What it
says is that we must strive to be like Jesus. We must getter with our
sins everyday.

This means that if you are continually dealing with the sin of sexual
immorality then God will not look upon you favorably if you do not get
rid of that sin.

It goes like this: you sin, you repent, and try not to do it again.

If you keep sinning in the same manner, you have not repented, therefore
not striving to be like Jesus, therefore, not a disciple or a Christian.
