Another question that I have is why no one apparently kept a detailed record of Jesus' ministry. We do have the Gospels, but they are loosely connected biographical sketches which highlight the more profound teachings, parables, and events of Jesus' ministry. Why did not Jesus set down for the ages, the details of his human life? And why was there no chronicler among the disciples? Some of them were literate men (Matthew, for example). Wouldn't a detailed account of the events of Jesus' ministry have been a powerful tool for conversion? Especially following the cruxifiction when the testimony was heresay evidence. I would really, really, really liked to have read the complete account. Who among us wouldn't have? burt@sequent.com
