One of the greatest miracles in all of history is the display of God's power in putting together the Church. How did God do it? Answer: supernaturally revealed knowledge! Matthew 16:17-18 .... 17 And Jesus answered and said unto him (Peter), Blessed art thou, Simon Bar-jona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but by my Father which is in heaven. 18 And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter (rock), and upon this rock (a bigger rock than "Peter") will I build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. Peter in these verses had just recieved exact revelation knowledge from God the Father, and Jesus called him blessed. It is this same kind of knowledge that the Church of Jesus was founded upon, because Jesus said, "and upon this rock (of revelation knowledge) will I build my church..." If you would like this kind of knowledge for yourself, pray the same prayers that Paul prayed for the Church at Ephesus and also the Colossians. Ephesians chapter 1, verses 16 and on mention the prayers of Paul. Pray these prayers making yourself the object of your prayer. Change the pronoun "yo into "me" so that you would be praying for yourself for "the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him." An example of revelation knowledge at work was in the case of Martin Luther. How did he know that part of the "Bible" -the apocrypha- was not part of the bible? Answer: Revelation knowledge, of course! Revelation knowledge CANNOT BE LEARNED! Remember, Jesus said to Peter, "flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee..." Peter did not get the revealed info from his brain. He got it from his spirit. "The spirit of man is the candle of the LORD...." - Proverbs 20:27 Solomon wrote this proverb. He was the king who asked for an understanding heart. (The heart, by the way is your spirit) "Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him." -1Cor. 2:9 From Allen S. Cheung (Jesus is Lord!)
