I have a question. Why *would* you believe in a god's existence? And
given it's existence, why worship it? Personally, I'm neutral on the
subject. If one does/did exist, I see no reason to worship it. Seems
to me like something designed to alleviate our collective nervousness
about death and the unknown. After all, if your parents didn't tell
you that a god exists and indoctrinate you into a particular religion,
would you believe? Most like to think that we choose our path of belief
freely. But my parents never mentioned a diety, and I don't really put
much credence in the concept of one. I doubt that I will wake up some
day and say "By golly, there IS a God!" Granted, it *could* happen.
And I don't deny that there could indeed be a God. Far from it. I am
quite curious in that aspect. But if my family/social sphere had
stressed a diety, I am sure that I would believe in one now. Why do
*you* believe?
