Canon Na'im Ateek of ST. George's Cathedral in Jerusalem and Rabbi Arnold
Goodman of Ahavath Achim Synagogue in Atlanta will have
a discussion entitled

"What is Needed for Peace in the Middle East"

on Monday, June 3, at 7:30 pm, at Morningside Presbyterian Church,
1411 N. Morningside Dr., Atlanta.  The church is between Piedmont
and Monroe Dr., just north of 10th St.  There is parking just
off of Piedmont.

Mr. Gustav Niebuhr, the Religion Editor of the Wall St. Journal
will moderate the Q&A.  A nursery will be provided, but please
call the church at 876-7396 to inform them that you intend to use
the nursery.  A reception will follow.

In addition, there will be a four-night forum on
the Palestinian-Israeli conflict beginning Sunday, june 9.  The
participants will be Canon Ateek and Professor Marc Ellis, a
Conservative Jew and a Professor of Theology at Maryknoll Seminary,
New York.  Canon Ateek is the author of "Justice, and Only Justice."

Professor Ellis has written "Toward a Jewish Theology of Liberation",
"Beyond Occupation," "Beyond Innocence and Redemption", and other
works.

It begins at 7:30 pm each night at the Trinity Presbyterian Church on
3003 Howell Mill Rd at the intersection with Moores Mill Rd.  it
is scheduled to last until 9:30.

Sunday, June 9--Prof. Ellis "What Brought About the Palestinian/
Israeli Situation?"

Monday, June 10, "Chritian Theology and the Palestinian Destiny", by
Canon Ateek.

Tues., June 11 "Holocaust Theology and the Jewish Destiny", Ellis

Wed., June 12 "The Persian Gulf War and Where Do We Go From Here?", Ateek.
