SEEDLESS FRUIT
When studying the scriptures I found it joyful of thinking of HOME SWEET
HOME. Heaven of coarse not the home of my parent (MOM) or the home I
have with my wife and two children. I was think one day after reading and
meditating on the scriptures and started thinking about what Heaven would
be like.
Have you ever eaten grapes and had to spit out the seeds or the pit from a
peach that seems to rob you of one more bit. Well what got me think was
this verse in revelation:
Rev 22:2 down the middle of the great street of the city. On each side of
the river stood the tree of life, bearing twelve crops of fruit,
yielding its fruit every month. And the leaves of the tree are
for the healing of the nations. (NIV)
This is the verse that I was thinking over about the tree of life bearing
twelve crops of fruit every month of the year. Well this started my
scriptural journey. Thinking God all knowing knew that when Eve and Adam
ate of the tree of good and evil that everything would be set in its
bondage of decay.
Rom 8:20-21 20 For the creation was subjected to frustration, not by its
own choice, but by the will of the one who subjected it, in
hope
21 that the creation itself will be liberated from its bondage
to decay and brought into the glorious freedom of the children
of God. (NIV)
For this reason I conclude God when creating all of this fruits and
animals and yes even us that we could reproduce. For nothing that is in
the list of creation that can reproduce is in existance only an image of
what was. Yes its all real I know but on the line of thought of seedless
fruit everything from the moment it comes in to existance is going to
decay and I thought if the tree of life will bear its fruit twelve times a
year and not decay why would there be a need for a seed.
I know that Jesus says that we will not marry at the resurrection i.e.
have sex to reproduce.
Matt 22:29-31 29 Jesus replied, "You are in error because you do not know
the Scriptures or the power of God.
30 At the resurrection people will neither marry nor be
given in marriage; they will be like the angels in heaven.
31 But about the resurrection of the dead-- have you not
read what God said to you, (NIV)
I thought I would share one of my quiet time thought with you.
In His Hands,
Joel
Prov 27:17 As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another. (NIV)
1 Thes 5:21 Test everything. Hold on to the good. (NIV)
