*chuckle* As soon as I join this newsgroup, I dip myself into hot water instead of teaching.... but here goes :-) As to the "Islamic Threat", while the threat is real, I think that we might be better looking for similarities and living to the love of Christ than pointing fingers and shouting kill, kill, kill... After all, we as Christians do that so easily, especially against our own selves or our own brothers. The Roman Catholic church (for which I'm a conservative member) has many times pointed fingers at other Christians saying beware of them, then proceeded to slaughter mindlessly. The Catholics did this to the Protestants in Great Britian, then the Protestants did it back to the Catholics.... -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- <-- get used to my seperators :) When bringing up the Shiite 'threat', I tend to do what I try and do for all situations: Do that for what you belive Christ would do. Don't pick up the sword. If the eastern neighbor comes to your home and chops off your right arm, do him a favor and remove your left as well offering forgiveness and love throughout. So then, how do we fight any evil that may exist? Fight as the majority of Judaism, Islam, and Christanity does..... through the power of prayer. While other Christians may not support my belief, I strongly feel that the decline of Communism in the soviet republics can partially be attributed to Our Lady of Fatima who taught us all that could be done through daily prayer on the part of others......
