The following letter is copied from the BULLETIN of the New York C. S. Lewis Society: "I am in the process of gathering material for research into the influence of the writings of C. S. Lewis (particularly his fiction) on the lives of individual readers. I would, therefore, be interested to hear from anyone for whom the reading of any one or more of Lewis's books has been of particu- lar significance. All information received will be treated in the strictest confidence, and all letters will, in due course, be acknowledged. Please mention the _Bulletin of the New York C. S. Lewis Society_ when replying. Patricia Batstone 1 Higher Mill Lane Collompton Devon EX15 1AG England" For the sake of those in the cheaper seats--as an old math pro- fessor used to say--I will point out what everyone else already realizes. My ONLY function in this matter is giving the letter wider dissemination. If you have any relevant remarks, write directly to Patricia Batstone, not to me. If you think this group might be interested in what you have to say, which it might well be, post it to the group. Marty Helgesen
