"The Pas, Man. (CP) - An inquiry into the stabbing death of a young Indian woman has been onesided, a native women's group says. ... The first three days of the probe into Helen Betty Osborne's death focused on the testimony by RCMP of their efforts to crack the Nov. 13, 1971 murder. It took 16 years to bring the case to trial. Dwayne Archie Johnston was convicted in 1987 of second-degree murder and sentenced to life in prison. ... "We are appalled I guess...because the mandate of the inquiry is to find out the aboriginal people's perspective," Courchene said in an interview. ...
