Eleven members of the Cape Croker Reserve on the Bruce Peninsula have
been fined a total of &35,000 and sentenced to 30 days in jail each for
illegally catching and selling lake trout. Chief Ralph Akiwenzie
complains that non-native fishermen are consistently awarded higher
quotas, and this is responsible for the depletion in fishing stocks.
