According to DOMAIN NAMES, the gateway for BITNET->UUCP is MAILER@PSUVAX1. For several days I see this mailer as NOT LOGGED ON. Is something wrong? Or is this gateway available for certain hours only? Regards, -turgut

You will very likely never ever ever ever in your whole entire life see a user named mailer logged on to psuvax1. That doesn't mean that it's not there, only that it's implemented in a sane way. If you have tried and failed to send UUCP mail via that mailer, I'd suggest contacting postmaster@psuvax1. > Is something wrong? Nope.
