I mentioned the Amstrad virus in a recent posting, saying that "..it has nothing to do with Amstrad computers...". It now appears that it does. The original (unmodified) version of the virus contains an advertisement for Amstrad computers. This text was replaced by a short message to John McAfee, when the virus was first uploaded to HomeBase. The name appearing in my original note about the virus is therefore not the name of the author, but instead the name of a respected professor in Portugal. - -frisk
