I hav had a 1980 Phoenix X body with a 6 and sport suspension since July of 1979. It spent two days in the shop, so much for repair. The performance and handling are quite satisfactory. It is not a sports car, but it is a very nice sporty sedan. I average 75 mph on the highway easily, passing many less expensive Datsuns and Toyotas and Hondas. The back seat is big enough for 2 ADULTS very comfortably. I am very happy.

At 75 MPH, the less expensive Datsuns, Toyotas and Hondas could easily pass your Phoenix X. I owned a Datsun 710 years ago; it happily cruised at 90MPH (we werent metric back then). Toyota and Honda owners I know can easily cruise at 80MPH, if not better. These are all 4 cylinder fuel-skimping animals, unlike the Phoenix.
