  I agree, this is the most common practice.  You get this great
software and you want to see it RIGHT NOW!  Well, one DOES need to
read those agreements and take them at face value.

Agree... but...  Self-destructing programs should and generally only
destruct THEMSELVES!  If you rent-to-own a tv from 'Bob's Rent-to-own'
and don't pay Bob anymore to use the tv, Bob HAS the right to come and
get his tv.  But because you didn't pay for the tv, this does NOT give
Bob the right to take your whole house!

If this AIDS program was in the up and up he would have sent out
requests for the program.  It would have saved him money, time and a
whole lot of headaches.  His method WAS blackmail and he should get
all the jail time and penalties comming to him!
