I recently took my 77 dodge aspen ( 37K ) to have the rear brakes checked, and they replaced the rear linings. Unfortunately, I've had to bring it back 3 times, since the right rear brake continues to drag ( which makes for poor gas mileage and a hot wheel). While I try to track down the cause and fix ( debugging ? ), is there anyone out there who has inside info on possible dodge-specific problems for brakes? I'd appreciate any leads. And if you are driving in Jersey, don't worry, I switched to riding my bike. lorraine whuxg!3722lkl that's 37K miles, and mail address = wh 3a-329, bell labs whipanny,NJ.

A fairly common problem with rear drum brakes dragging is usually caused by either the parking brake, or the wheel cylinder ( hydraulic unit ). Check to see if your parking brake cable moves easily on both directions.
