There are several such packages. One of them is mine, SafeWord
Virus-Safe, now available as shareware. This package evaluates all
executable code prior to allowing it to execute, performing a
sophisticated integrity check. It does NOT check for viruses
specifically. Instead, it alerts the user if it detects any CHANGES in
the file(s) or programs or program segments being executed. Users can
"tune" this package to achieve any trade-off they want, choosing
between the highest possible performance or the highest possible
protection.
