We have about 30 IBM PC's (some stand alone two floppy systems, some stand alone hard disk systems, and some connected via DE-100 and 3C501 cards to thick wire ETHERNET) in our laboratory. One investigator found a virus -- yet to be identified on his home computer -- we are now somewhat panic'd & very curious about how best to protect our laboratory computers. We have obatined a copy of McAfee Associated VIRUSCAN Version 6.9V75 from computer center. Is this product adequate protection -- or should we invest in one of the regular commercially distributed products (e.g. Norton stuff)? My background as an old time computer center manager doesn't really help much here. Perhaps someone would be kind enough to offer some general advice. Thanks, AJ Annala
