I guess that, from now on, anyone who writes 'joke' articles, even if they *do* appear in a 1 Apr cover date pub should begin and end their articles with the banner: _________________________________________________________________ *JOKE* *JOKE* *JOKE* *JOKE* *JOKE* *JOKE* *JOKE* _________________________________________________________________ so that those of you who neither have a sense of humor, *or* read to the *end* of the article will know that it's a joke. I passed the aforementioned article to all the members of my end-user support team; and while the article 'had them going' in the beginning, when one got to the bottom, it became *obvious* that it was tongue-in-cheek humor. You have seen that style of humor, haven't you? I have been reading computer related pubs written to various user levels for about 10 years, and it has been my experience that you almost *always* see some article which, at first glance appears to be real, only to 'remove its tongue from its cheek in the end'. Geez!, lighten up! Laugh once in a while; and get some sun!

amen! it was pretty obvious that the article was a joke--IF you read the whole article... ************************************************************************** * Steve Gribble (812) 855-9172/7629 gribble@cica.cica.indiana.edu * Systems Manager, Inst. of Social Research swg@socmail.soc.indiana.edu * Dept. of Sociology, Indiana University gribble@iubacs
