Anyone interested in replacing the old tired engine in your Toyota with something having a few extra horses might want to contact Marc Parnes at ATK North America in Santa Ana, CA. It seems he is rebuilding Toyota performance engines of two types: the 2TG in 1600 or 1800cc and the 18RG in 2000cc form. These fit Corollas and Celicas from l968 up. All are DOHC aluminum hemi head engines giving 115 DIN horsepower for the 2TG and 135 DIN horsepower for the 18RG. He also has some other bolt on goodies like dual Solex side-draft carburetors.
