I bought a Dodge Colt from a dealer in Queens, N.Y. in Aug. 81. I've driven over 18,000 miles on it. 3 weeks ago my battery went dead. 2 weeks ago I had to put new brakes in and last week the whole car died on a highway. As it turns out, I need a whole new motor (which could cost >$2000) for the car. My guarantee was the 12 months/12000 miles kind. Does anyone know if there's anything I can do about this (force the dealer fix it for free, etc.) Thank you, mhuxa!jbh Jeff Huttel Bell Labs Short Hills, N.J. (201) 564-2455

My car has a 24month/24kmile warranty on the engine/drivetrain ($100 deductible for the second year) that I just learned about lately (noone told me about it when I bought the car). I think a lot of car manufacturers have this type of deal, if not better.
