Two fun questions:
I want to be able to read a letter, and then find the
next letter with the same Subject: line. This is the same idea as
hitting ^N in Rn. Dan and Bart, I don't think any vars get set
for the "current" subject, is that right? Anyone have any ideas?
My second question is: When I save a letter, I most often
save it to a folder. As you know, there's no reason why you can't
save copies of a letter to all of the folders it could possibly apply
to...say Dan Heller sends me a letter about Mush, and there's some
discussion about some system calls in it. I could save the letter
to +argv, +mush, or +programming; that approach is a waste of disk
space over the long run, when multiplied by hundreds of cases. I
usually just pick what seems like the most relevant folder
at the time....but when I want to refer to the letter later, that
folder name may not seem so obvious (what if I save a letter under
+mush, but weeks later I am looking for a letter about signals
and wait() and some other system stuff...I might look at +programming
first). I want to be able to save a letter, and at that time, be
able to rattle off a few keywords. Later on, I want to be able to
refer to a file/database of some sort of keywords, and get to all of
the letters that apply, no matter what folder they are in. You
know, a form of hypertext! Someone must have thought of this and
at least partially solved it by now. Thanks for any tips!
