The latest word on the new Corvette, due in March I believe, is Chevrolets intentions to run factory sponsered cars in the 24 hour Daytona race. This will be the first all out racing effort by GM since way way back. The new Corvette looks like maybe they got rid of a lot of useless weight by trimming the car way down and in the process I think it looks better although now it is more similar to the Camaro/Firebird. The new Vette will feature a 350CID throttle body injection engine and I believe a five speed with a four speed automatic being available. So far on my Corvette survey I hav received nothing but negative comments. Some have convinced me that there may be doubt that the Corvette is even an automobile!
