The idea of branding an offender does not sit well here either. If we were all branded for every bad thing we did, there would be no place left to brand. I guess we'd all look the same after all. Shoot, the ten commandments are rough for me sometimes; the 55 limit you can kiss goodby -- I've already broken that at least twice. Special plates aren't going to keep the drunk off the road. The attention these plates may attract would, in my humble opinion, merely open the door for unfair harrasment and persecution. Worse yet is the notion of self-fulfilling prophecy (the label justifies a behavior -- i.e. "I'm already officially A drunk, so why not officially BE drunk"). I'd rather see a sobriety test installed in offender's cars. Maybe a five digit code flashes on a display and you have three chances to enter it correctly. Else no start. This could help for certain other drugs (that impair judgement and affect short term memory) that are so often used. ihldt!dbg Dave Green BTL IH P.S. I vote yes for corvette being a sports car. And how come the new Supra is always forgotten when it comes to listing sports cars. Try driving one.
