[comp.mail.mush] Curses oddity / lpr

murray@motto.UUCP (Murray S. Kucherawy) (08/01/90)

Thanks for the reply about new mail - your suggestions seem to have worked.
Now, I have two others:

1) The "printer" variable seems to be getting ignored; I set it to "lq"
and print jobs still go to "lp" on issuing the command "lpr" from mush
(V7.1.1, MicroVAX II Ultrix 2.0-1).

2) In curses mode, if we run any startup procedures with the "-F" flag
on the UNIX command line, no menu is displayed, but commands still work.
I've looked through the man page at the variables, but found nothing that
controls this. Have I missed something?

These are minor, considering the number of things I *do* like about mush! :-)

Please reply by e-mail, because news here expires too quickly to count on me
reading a reply here.

There is a mailing list, mush-users, that is tied to the newsgroup
comp.mail.mush. The mailing list is for those who do not get netnews.
The list and the newsgroup are one and the same. If you get news, you
should probably not be on the mailing list.

The address for this list used to reside at garp.mit.edu. It now
resides at apple.com. To request to be removed from the list,
mail to mush-users-request@apple.com -- do not request to be added
to the list because if you have seen this message, you are either
already on the list, or you get the newsgroup :-).
