[comp.mail.mush] Invoking pagers

Is there some tricks in invoking a pager to read mail messages? I have
been playing with the crt and crt_win options to try to invoke the pager.
Nothing seems to work....

Since you mention crt_win, I presume you are using tool mode. There is
*no* way to invoke a pager to read messages in tool mode. You get the
textsw with scrollbars for paging and that's it. The reason for this is
that SunView allows each process no more than one ttysw, and mush uses
its ttysw to allow you to use an editor of your choice when composing a
message. If you got the pager of your choice for reading, you couldn't
use your favorite editor for sending, so mush went with the lesser evil.

If you aren't using tool mode, $crt_win has no meaning, and a $crt value
of 2 should force use of the pager. Hopefully after patch #3 you'll be
able to force paging of messages in line/curses modes without fooling
with the value of $crt (I say "hopefully" because I don't know exactly
which items from the TODO list are going to make it into #3).
