[comp.mail.mush] Question about re-sending mail

tony@mwuk.UUCP (Tony Mountifield) (12/24/90)

I am using Mush version 6.3 on a Sun-3/80 with SunOS 4.0.3. The MTA is
standard Sun sendmail.

My putting user names into my .forward file, I can arrange for other
users to be sent a copy of mail that comes in for me. So far so good.
However, the proportion of my mail in which my team would be interested
is getting smaller.

What I would like to do is to have a command or macro in Mush to enable
me to do a "retrospective .forward". The "mail -f" command without
autoedit is not really suitable, as it generates new "To:" and "From:"
lines, together with a load of "Resent" headers. All I want is an exact
copy of the current message delivered to someone else's mailbox in the
same format as it would have been put there via ".forward".

Any help gratefully received!

Thanks,

Tony.
