I presume the curses "overwrite" is a #define?  If so, just #undef it in
mush.h immediately after the #include <curses.h>.  Mush doesn't use it.
If it isn't a #define, and it still causes problems, you have a compiler
bug.

} btw I noticed that previous to mush 7, this variable was somthing like
} "overwrt" anyway.

I just checked the 6.5.6.15 sources and "overwrite" is there.  I think
someone else must have performed a local fix on your old sources as well.
