If I remember the stats in the front of my most recent R&T, the Porsche 930 Turbo was tops with 5.0 sec. ('82). But their are 3-4 cars within .5 seconds of that time. Has anyone read the new C&D article on the Toyota Cresida? Take a look at the performance figures (0-60 in ~7 secs.). Not bad for a top of the line vehicle! While we're at it, the new issue does a nice job on the '10 Best' of just about everything in the Automotive world, from cars to people. Mickey Levine decvax!cca!mickey mickey @ cca-unix

I don't profess to be an expert on cars but I just happen to know what the fastest production car in the world is...or so an advertisement claims. In yesterday's Wall Street Journal (12-16-82), page 4 there is an ad for a Porsche 935DP as follows: \fBNot just another beautiful body.\fR The Porsche 935DP. So aerodynmic it looks illegal just standing still. The Porsche 935DP. Fastest production car in the world- 0 to 60 in 4.2 seconds. 212 \fImph top speed.\fR Simply the most incredible Porsche ever made. The Porsche 935DP. Faster than a Ferrari BB512. Faster than a Lamborghini Countach. A turbocharged lean and mean muscle machine that's not just another beautiful body. The Porsche 935DP. Produced by Ekkehard Zimmermann of DP Design, West Germany. \fIExclusively at O'Gara Coach Company.\fR But you'd better call us now. Because it's going \fIfast!\fR O'Gara Coach Co., in Beverly Hills, is the Gucci of car dealers. They sell nothing but new and used Excaliburs, Clenets, Rolls Royces, etc. -jonathan hahn { ...!ucbvax | ...!fortune!dsd }!atd!avsdT:jon Ampex Corp.
