Well, I hacked up getstats.c tonight, and now Andrew and the console are working pretty well. It looks like the problem is with some nasty nlist, /dev/kmem stuff related to swap space or something. I just #ifdef'ed it out, and it works fine (it doesn't return a few statistics, but who cares). Thanks to everyone who helped me get Andrew up and running, especially ghoti, wjh and mss @ andrew. John
