I wish to build Andrew R3 with AFS_ENV and AFS30_ENV defined. The documentation says I will need some files, four of which don't seem to be on the AFS 3.0 beta distribution kit: include/afs/prserver.h include/afs/print.h lib/afs/libcont.a lib/afs/librauth.a It looks like prserver.h and print.h may just be old names for ptserver.h and ptint.h. Anyone know anything about the libraries? Thanks. -- Keith Gorlen phone: (301) 496-1111 Building 12A, Room 2033 uucp: uunet!nih-csl!kgorlen National Institutes of Health Internet: kgorlen@alw.nih.gov Bethesda, MD 20892

Excerpts from internet.info-andrew: 23-Feb-90 Missing AFS files Keith Gorlen@uunet.uu.ne (582) > include/afs/prserver.h > include/afs/print.h > lib/afs/libcont.a > lib/afs/librauth.a > It looks like prserver.h and print.h may just be old names for ptserver.h > and ptint.h. Correct. > Anyone know anything about the libraries? Thanks. libcont.a and librauth.a are part of a much older AFS version (2.x?) - and are no longer supported (to the best of my knowledge). I believe this affects: 'vopcon' [andrew/atk/console/cmd] which you should not need if you have AFS3.0 (I believe Transarc distributes a program called 'scout'?) snap2 - several of the programs under andrew/overhead/snap2 are geared to the old-style authentication code - I have absolutely no idea what to do about this execpt try to skip the affected directories. --fish (PS: I offer these comments *un-officialy* )
