in atk/basics/common, in order to make region.do you need XLIBDIR/libX11.a. Of course, none of the documentation mentioned that XLIBDIR had to be set to the directory where you've put the libg0 version of that library. Nice, I wonder how many times I'm going to have to type make World to get this to work....
